The Desview U6 5.5″ 4K HDMI Camera Control Monitor is another affordable option if you are looking for a bright on-camera monitor that also features camera control.
The monitor features a 5.5″ IPS LCD with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a claimed brightness of 2800 cd/m² brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 ppi, and touchscreen control. The monitor covers 90% of the DCI-P3 color space standard.
The Desview U6 has an HDMI input and output, and it supports up to 4K DCI 60p and UHD 60p video inputs. The HDMI is pass-through. There is also a USB Type-C port that provides a 5V power input, and it also can be used for LANC camera control functions such as iris and focus for select cameras. A USB Type-A port allows you to import custom 3D LUTs.
With the camera control functionality, you can control some aspects of select cameras, however, Desview doesn’t provide any list of what cameras will actually work. On their website, they show the Canon C/100/C200, Sony FS7/FX6, and ZCAM E2.

You can also power your camera or other accessories using the 8 VDC barrel output. The U6 can be powered using the integrated L-series battery plate or via a separately available DC adapter. The monitor draws 15W.
Two 1/4″-20 threads on the side and bottom allow you to mount the monitor on a variety of configurations, or you can use the included cold shoe adapter to mount the monitor on your camera. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom of the monitor.
