The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is Samsung's latest tablet of the OEM's rugged, up-to-MIL-STD-810H-compliant form-factor with an S Pen in a holster, both of which are IP68-rated to boot. Samsung has brought it bang up to date for 2022, however, with 5G and Wi-Fi 6E along with NFC and Bluetooth this time around.

In fact, Samsung has gotten particularly businesslike with the Tab Active4 Pro, as it also supports the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS), a form of 4G/LTE that could be available to an organization or business as its own proprietary network.

Therefore, the OEM touts the new Tab Active Pro as ready for corporate use, with sales- and data-protective Knox features, as well as use in occupations as 'extreme' as front-line response with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to outdo "other chemically strengthened glass with scratch and damage resistance". 

The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro even brings back microSD card support, has DeX support and an increased maximum volume for use in challenging settings. Then again, there is no mention for an increased refresh rate for its 10.1-inch FHD+ TFT-LCD display.

It is listed as running One UI based on Android 12 rather than 12L, has an unspecified "6nm Octa-Core Processor" (thought to be the Snapdragon 778G) and has 4 to 6GB of RAM with up to 128GB of internal storage.

Its battery is also set at a potentially underwhelming 7,800mAh of capacity - however, it is also user-replaceable, and can charge via "fast" POGO pins as well as a type-C port of the USB 3.2 standard. Samsung has also developed a No Battery Mode for the Tab Active4 Pro that allows it to work and charge without a battery installed at all.

Accordingly, Samsung backs the new Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro as its most versatile, essential and professional rugged-class slate thus far. The OEM projects that it will start to become available from  September 2022 in some European countries, with a release in other regions such as North America, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East planned for later in the year.
